Smaato's (now part of Verve Group) digital ad tech platform is a completely omnichannel, self-serve monetization solution and ad server. Our controls make monetization simple. Publishers can bring their first-party data and manage all inventory in one place. Marketers get access to the highest-quality inventory so they can reach audiences around the world and on any device. We are looking for a highly driven and communicative individual with strong business development experience in the digital or mobile advertising industry, to occupy the Business Development Manager role. This person will be responsible and accountable for onboarding new DSPs and Demand partners to Smaato’s omni-channel ad exchange.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Come with a network and understanding of the digital ecosystem

    • Identify, qualify, pitch and close new business with buyers (DSP) in line with our core strengths & capabilities

    • Collaborate with other team members in Account Management, Sales Engineering, and Marketing, and beyond and exceed customer expectations

    • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in mobile, CTV, and in-app programmatic buying trends across the ad tech and digital ecosystem

    • Establish Smaato as a critical and trusted partner

    • Manage a robust sales pipeline

    • Prepare pitch materials as needed, both independently and within existing support processes

    • Proven willingness and ability to prospect aggressively

    • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals

    • Manage an entire sales cycle from inception to closure to up-sell including prospecting, discovery, evaluation, proposal, justification, close, and onboarding with Sales Engineering & Account Management.


Job requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in selling and servicing clients with digital media solutions

    • Bachelor’s degree required

    • Experience selling to DSPs, agencies, programmatic buyers, CTV, and mobile solutions

    • Customer-centric, consultative sales professional that can quickly understand their target customers market, business & challenges

    • Self-motivated, independent, high-performing individual, with ability to learn and become productive extremely fast

    • A professional who isn’t scared of change and is able to adapt quickly to a constantly changing competitive landscape

    • A lover of marketing who can think strategically and follow through tactically, technically, creatively and in collaboration with their team members

    • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written

    • Superb relationship building skills that can develop credibility with executives and demonstrable business acumen

    • Proficient with Salesforce, Excel and PowerPoint

    • B.A or B.S is a must - MBA preferred

The base salary range for this position is 110-125k USD per annum. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
