Who You Are
We are looking for a highly driven, networked, organized, and communicative individual with strong business development experience in the digital or mobile advertising industry, to occupy the Business Development Manager, Publisher Sales role. This person will be responsible and accountable for sourcing and onboarding new Publishers to Smaato's omni-channel ad exchange.
This is a hybrid position with three days per week in our Berlin and Hamburg offices. Outside these cities, the position can be filled remotely within Germany.
What You Will Do
Build a pipeline of new customers with a focus on Mobile App, Web, and CTV based on existing relationships in the market
Lead external facing calls and meetings with new/prospective clients
Work closely with product and marketing teams to compile client-facing decks and prep for pitches
Convert prospects into signed clients
Work closely with the account management team ensuring the onboarding process is smooth and meets our client’s expectations
Develop strategies to engage new Publishers
Align business opportunities to establish strong and long-term partnerships
Build relationships with potential clients, and negotiate deals to generate revenue
Understand the market and competition to develop business strategies that are effective in generating revenue
Client management in maximizing the Publisher’s available inventory and their daily delivery needs
Provide sales forecasts and reports to the executive team
Job requirements
What You Will Bring
4+ years of sales experience in AdTech required, ideally on the Publisher side
An existing network of Publishers in the EMEA region
Experience in executing/managing technical integrations (VAST, o.RTB, Prebid, SDK, etc.)
Accomplished in managing complex sales cycles and negotiating contracts with potential clients
Familiar and comfortable with cross-department collaboration including product, engineering, legal, finance, and account management teams
Able to creatively think of out-of-the-box solutions in order to close deals
Proficient with a CRM tool, Excel, and PowerPoint
Full business proficiency in English is a must, additional European language is beneficial
Bachelor's Degree
