We are looking for a highly driven, networked, organized, and communicative individual with strong business development experience in the digital or mobile advertising industry, to occupy the Senior Business Development Manager role. This person will be responsible and accountable for sourcing and onboarding new DSPs and Agency business to Smaato's omni-channel ad exchange.
In this hybrid-structured position you will work two days per week in our Hamburg office, and three days remotely.
What You Will Do
Identify, qualify, pitch and close new business with buyers (DSP & agencies) in line with our core strengths & capabilities
Work with the leadership team to define, achieve and exceed revenue and new business goals
Develop an omni-channel sales strategy that drives accelerated business growth
Continuously prospecting for new business using your existing network of relationships and creating new relationships (we need to see your network during the interview process)
Work closely with the Marketing organization to shape the go-to-market (GTM) narrative and be an expert at articulating the story internally and externally
Manage an entire sales cycle from inception to closure to up-sell including prospecting, discovery, evaluation, proposal, justification, close, and onboarding with Sales Engineering & Account Management
Collaborate with other team members in Account Management, Sales Engineering, and Marketing, and beyond and exceed customer expectations
Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in mobile, CTV, and in-app programmatic buying trends across the ad tech and digital ecosystem
Participate in industry events and assist in developing Smaato’s market presence
Prepare pitch materials as needed, both independently and within existing support processes
Job requirements
What You Will Bring
5+ years of experience in selling or closing new business in adtech
Experience selling CTV and mobile solutions to DSPs, agencies, programmatic buyers
Existing relationships with mobile media companies
Strong knowledge & familiarity with internet advertising models, ad optimization, audience trends, and technologies
Self-motivated, independent, high-performing individual, with ability to learn and become productive extremely fast
Team player mentality with collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills
Customer-centric, consultative sales professional that can quickly understand their target customers market, business & challenges
A professional who isn't scared of change and is able to adapt quickly to a constantly changing competitive landscape
An enthusiast about marketing who can think strategically and follow through tactically, technically, creatively and in collaboration with their team members
Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills - both verbal and written
Proven willingness and ability to prospect aggressively
Superb relationship building skills that can develop credibility with executives and demonstrable business acumen
Proficient Excel and PowerPoint
Full business proficiency in English is required, German language skills are preferred
