This is a hybrid position in our London office.
What You Will Do
Conduct day to day and monthly accounting activities (billing / invoicing, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations)
Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP [UK and IFRS] and internal policies
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness (including and not limited to accounting for fixed assets, prepayments, intercompany transactions etc.)
Prepare local statutory reporting, tax filings, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations
Drive improvements and standardisation in accounting processes, controls, and documentation by collaborating with segment and group finance teams
Assist with monthly management deck preparations, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc variance analysis as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support business initiatives
Job requirements
What You Will Bring
Completed vocational training or university degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting
ACCA / ACA / ICAEW qualification is a must-have requirement
Minimum 5 years of work experience in Accounting, General Ledger with some exposure to Controlling / Financial Analysis in tech startups or fast growing companies
Experience in MS Office is required, with strong excel skills
Full business proficiency in English is a must
Experience with ERP systems is needed, Oracle NetSuite knowledge is appreciated
Knowledge of IFRS and Local UK GAAP is a must
Accurate, autonomous, and structured manner of work ethic
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
