Dataseat is a part of Verve Group since July 2022. Dataseat was founded just over two years ago by two industry veterans and Entrepreneurs David Philippson & Dr Paul Hayton with the goal to change and improve the way App marketers run their programmatic media campaigns. The company provides a Bidder or DSP as a service to App marketers to in-house programmatic media buying for user acquisition and re-engagement. London based office with the possibility to work remotely in UK, Germany, Spain

We are looking for an Platform Engineer who has an understanding of algorithm complexity and awareness of computational efficiency. You will need to explain and understand complex systems, deep dive into and solve problems. This role will provide huge opportunities for growth as it is such a pivotal role which will have an immediate impact on the business.

Your Responsibilities

  • Building libraries and services for Dataseat’s core bidding platform.

  • Write tests for new code that ensure it meets requirements and checks for edge cases.

  • Identifying and replicating issues reported in production and fixing the root causes

  • Morning call with the team to ensure priorities are aligned and any developer who is blocked has support.

  • Work on a particular task from the Sprint either alone or with another developer.

  • Join afternoon standup to discuss progress and next steps.

  • Deploy updates to our Dev environment to test a new feature; discuss requirements for regression with SDET Engineer

Job requirements

  • Degree Computer Science, Maths, Physics or other numerate subject

  • Experience in online mobile advertising is a plus

  • 4+ years experience as a Backend Engineer writing code in Java

  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is preferred

  • Experience with AWS is an advantage

  • Experience in shared software development using git and reviews

  • Good written and spoken English
