This is a hybrid role that takes place three days per week in our Berlin or Hamburg offices.


What You Will Do

  • Support in handling ad-hoc tax advisory questions

  • Assist in process improvement related to tax compliance

  • Optimize the preparation of corporate tax returns, including coordination with external advisors and gathering necessary documentation

  • Support the implementation of a Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS)

  • Perform VAT plausibility checks and ensure compliance with VAT regulations

  • Analyze tax considerations of cross-border flows, including implementation of transfer pricing policies, preparation of master and local files, etc

  • Follow-up of tax legislative changes in relevant jurisdictions and ensure international tax compliance across these jurisdictions.

  • Assist in quarterly and yearly financial closings from a tax perspective

Job requirements

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a focus on German Taxation

  • At least 3 years of experience in tax advisory, in a corporate tax role, preferably in Big4 or an international setting with a focus on German taxation

  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, transfer pricing, and international tax regulations

  • Fluent in English, German is highly preferred

  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex tax issues

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to support and coach local teams
