What we are looking for?

We are hiring a VP of Product to lead our ad products development efforts within our New Business Unit. The VP of Product will be responsible for building the product team and the product roadmap bringing new products to life and solving new customer challenges. Reporting directly to the CEO this role will work independently with a dedicated development team (that they will help recruit) while also ensuring alignment within the tech teams and the rest of the different VGI teams, as well as working very closely to existing and prospective customers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product management, with a focus on mobile and web experiences, B2B or B2C products, go to market, fast iterations, and experience with successful product pivots.


Responsibilities

  • Develop product roadmap to grow monetization through prioritizing coverage of ad formats, media types, channels, and tactics

  • Work with cross-functional teams -- engineering, data science, business development, and account management to create business requirements, develop technical designs, and develop new products to bring to market

  • Define, prioritize, and implement features to ensure business targets and user experience.

  • Obsessive about customer needs and their challenges

  • Act as a primary interface for collaboration and communication between the product team and internal stakeholders and business users

  • Lead the Product Management team(s) as well as the engineering team (pairing with a tech lead)

  • Capture and integrate sales and user product teams' feedback into the monetization product roadmap

  • Define, launch and manage the product’s key performance indicators

  • Operate within a fast-moving software development process

  • Accountable also for shutting down products that don’t have a market fit and justify it (learn quickly and iterate)



Job requirements

  • 7+ years of experience using ad platforms and building ad products from scratch

  • Previous experience working on AdTech products

  • Extensive experience creating documentation including business cases, functional specs, PRDs, and user stories.

  • Able to manage a team of product managers and/or engineers (4-5 people)

  • Experience with both web and mobile analytics platforms, including the strong analytical ability to derive actionable insights from large datasets.

  • Computer Science degree a plus (preferred but not required).

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent presentation, meeting leader, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and facilitation skills.

  • Detail-oriented self-starter, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
