This is a hybrid role with three days per week in our Berlin and Hamburg offices. Outside these cities, the position can be filled remotely within Germany.
What You Will Do
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with HGB and IFRS
Support with local statutory audit and tax filing preparations and submissions in accordance with German laws
Book various business transactions (AP, GL, Intercompany), preparing/executing payments, and supporting other international entities when needed
Ensure account reconciliations are completed on time and open items are cleared in a timely manner, especially with the monthly reporting deadlines
Participate in the continuous improvement of the Group’s internal financial processes, reporting, and control system
Interact with other internal stakeholders in accounting matters as needed
Support and guide more junior colleagues in the team
Job requirements
What You Will Bring
Minimum 4 years of work experience in Accounting
Knowledge of HGB is a must-have (3+ years), and IFRS is desirable
Full business proficiency in both English and German
Prior work experience with an ERP system (we work in Oracle NetSuite), MS Office, and Excel
Completed vocational training or university degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting
We welcome an accurate, autonomous, and structured work ethic
