This is a hybrid role with three days per week in our Berlin and Hamburg offices. Outside these cities, the position can be filled remotely within Germany.


What You Will Do

  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with HGB and IFRS 

  • Support with local statutory audit and tax filing preparations and submissions in accordance with German laws

  • Book various business transactions (AP, GL, Intercompany), preparing/executing payments, and supporting other international entities when needed

  • Ensure account reconciliations are completed on time and open items are cleared in a timely manner, especially with the monthly reporting deadlines

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the Group’s internal financial processes, reporting, and control system

  • Interact with other internal stakeholders in accounting matters as needed

  • Support and guide more junior colleagues in the team

Job requirements

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in Accounting

  • Knowledge of HGB is a must-have (3+ years), and IFRS is desirable

  • Full business proficiency in both English and German

  • Prior work experience with an ERP system (we work in Oracle NetSuite), MS Office, and Excel

  • Completed vocational training or university degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting
