Who You Are

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to take ownership of critical systems, drive architectural decisions, and solve complex distributed challenges at scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who goes beyond implementation and shapes how systems are designed, built, and evolved.

What You Will Do

• Design and build scalable backend services in Go or Java

• Own end-to-end architecture and technical direction for key systems

• Work on distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)

• Drive improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability

• Lead complex, cross-team initiatives from design to production

• Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to shape technical direction

• Mentor engineers and influence engineering standards and best practices

What You Will Bring

• Proven experience as a senior or staff-level backend engineer building and owning large-scale systems

• Strong experience with Go or Java in production environments

• Proven track record of designing and operating distributed systems at scale

• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)

• Strong system design skills (scalability, performance, reliability)

• Experience owning systems end-to-end and driving technical decisions

• Experience leading complex technical or cross-team initiatives

• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)

• Strong experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes or similar)

• Experience building or operating high-throughput or low-latency systems

• Experience working with real-time data processing systems
